Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center

Empowerment: the journey of one becoming stronger and more confident, especially when regaining control in one’s life and taking back their own rights.

Every 73 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted (RAINN).

We are lucky enough to team up with an amazing non-profit called Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center. A month ago, when we first posted on Facebook about include., Natalie, who works at the center, reached out to us about a potential collaboration. After getting to know the mission and services provided by the center, we realized it was the perfect match.

Growing Strong Sexual Assault Center is a non-profit whose goal is to make sure victims of sexual assault recieve the care and help they need through this difficult time. They offer free and confidential services like: counseling, crisis intervention, support groups, medical & legal advocacy, training for police, and prevention education.

This is just the beginning of what is to come this March. We are selling a t-shirt showing our relationship with them and that will be up on our website March, 8th. They chose the word empowerment as their additional word, to show that anyone who has been in this situation has the ability to take back their life. On April 8th they will be having an event called Take Back the Night held in Decatur, Illinois. A march that will allow people to stand together in unity and prove anyone has the strength to do so.

We will be doing a podcast episode with a member of the Growing Strong team to talk more about their services, statistics, and just have a conversation about this important topic.
