February: Non-profit Spotlight!

Updated: May 1, 2021

DuSable Museum of African American History

In honor of Black History Month, we are supporting the DuSable Museum of African American History, who will receive 20% of all include. profits for the month of February.

Due to COVID, the museum had to temporarily close their doors to the public. Our goal is to raise funds to help preserve their institution and assist them with the successful reopening of the Museum and their many exhibits that shine a spotlight on the integral but often misrepresented history of African Americans.

The include.team recognizes the importance of acknowledging and honoring the innumerable hardships, milestones, and achievements of African Americans throughout our country's history. One exhibit that encapsulates this message is the DuSable's Freedom, Resistance, and the Journey Toward Equality showcase. The exhibit takes visitors on an interactive journey through several key periods of American history as it pertains to the historical trials and tribulations of African Americans and the continuous pursuit of racial equality. As one of the more prominent exhibits within the Museum, your contributions through the include. shop will be able to keep this and other like it at the DuSable up and running.

About the DuSable Museum

A Smithsonian affiliate, the DuSable Museum of African American History is the first museum of its type in the country and is the only major independent institution in Chicago established to preserve and interpret the historical experiences and achievements of African Americans.
