The Ronald McDonald House of Central Illinois
We are so excited to share with you all this month's nonprofit.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. RMHCCI has a special place in my heart. My dad has been involved with them for several years. and we are honored that we can engage in a campaign with the charity.
The Ronald McDonald House mission is to provide a supportive place for families to stay while their child is receiving medical care, supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
RMHC started in 1974 when the daughter of Philadelphia Eagles' tight end Fred Hill was diagnosed with leukemia. His wife and him saw how much families struggled while their children were sick and spending countless hours in the hospital. The charity provides families comfort and rest while their children are receiving medical care. Two great burdens that parents/families face are alleviated: having a safe place to stay and to find respite, and removing all of the costs of hotels, restaurants, etc.
RMHC of Central Illinois has two locations: Springfield, IL and Peoria, IL.
The Springfield House began in 1986 and the Peoria House opened in 2019. There are over 300 RMHC in 30 countries – and RMH continues to grow.
This month 20% of our profits are going towards the RMHC because we believe in what they are doing, bringing great relief to families facing the hardest struggles in their lives.
